There are
many applications for the use of electrostatic products in the plastic
industry.
Discharging
plays a big part here. Regardless whether you wind, laminate or cut films, a
friction or isolation charge will always be generated which can be safely
removed with AC voltage discharging.
With blowers,
the ribbon is discharged with DC voltage ionisation before blowing takes
place so that it does not start to oscillate.
Strategically
applied electric charges can reduce material costs and increase production
safety. For example, the prevention of the "neck in" effect or when fixing
parts during "inmold labeling".
Charging has
an energy-saving effect before the chill rolls, as the better connection
provides a stronger contact to the roll, thus achieving a highly improved
cooling effect. |
